Janica Meiners earned a B.S. degree in Psychology in 1992, with a minor in Family Studies. She worked in a substance abuse intervention program for teens at the Utah County Health Department and helped to develop a juvenile drug court diversion program.
She received a M.A. degree in English in 2012 and began teaching basic writing skills online. Janica has experience with many diverse groups of students—multi-cultural students, non-traditional students, and students for whom English is not their first language. She aims for personal connections with her students and strives to provide specific, actionable feedback to help them communicate clearly and effectively in writing.
Janica lives in Fruit Heights, Utah, with her husband and a socially unacceptable Maltese. She enjoys reading, writing, road trips, and superhero movies.
