Young Eun Moon is a postdoctoral researcher at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication. She received a doctoral degree in Communication & Media Studies from the University of Oregon in 2022. Her primary research interests are comparative political communication, journalism studies, and global communication. Specifically, she studies how political and journalistic cultures shape the manner in which journalists interpret digital technology in different ways. She has received a Lorry I. Lockey fellowship, best paper awards from the Korean Society for Journalism & Communication and Kappa Tau Alpha honor for National Honor Society in Journalism and Mass Communication. Some of her publications have appeared in multiple high impact journals including Journalism Studies, Journalism Practice, and Feminist Media Studies.
