Denise Davis earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University, and her master's degree in Adult Education and Training at the University of Phoenix. During her 24+ year career in education, Mrs. Davis was a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, Curriculum & Instruction Coach, and Literacy Consultant/National Facilitator. Recently, she left a Reading Specialist role to pursue a passion in higher education. This opportunity allowed her to partner with ASU to support teacher candidates and mentor teachers. Mrs. Davis is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College.
On a personal note, she is a native Phoenician, proud graduate of ASU, married to her high school sweetheart, and raising two very sporty teenagers. Her family spends most of their free time traveling typically around sporting events. As for professional interests, literacy is her jam! She geeks out on anything related to literacy learning. Mrs. Davis has a true passion for working with teachers to impact students. It is her belief that education is the key to success in life and teachers MATTER!
"It's the teacher that makes the difference, not the classroom." ~Michael Morpurgo
