Brian Robinson is the Principled Innovation Fellow for the Next Generation Service Corps in the Public Service Academy at the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. In this role, he works to holistically infuse Principled Innovation into the leadership development framework of the NGSC. His research evaluates longitudinal student experience data, service learning engagement practices, leadership curriculum, and more to contribute to the further alignment of the NGSC to ASU's 9th Design Aspiration. He is a frequent contributor to NGSC classes, focus groups, workshops, and events, where he teaches Principled Innovation practices in applicable ways.
Previously at ASU, Brian served as an International Partnerships Coordinator where he coordinated students around the world obtaining their degree offered in Mandarin Chinese as well as faculty in Ethiopia pursuing further graduate education. He has also served as an Instructional Professional and Academic Advisor. Prior to ASU, Brian supported individuals as a community mental health professional in a variety of healthcare settings. He taught social-emotional learning and infused positive psychology into learning methods to support adult learners who faced barriers to higher education. He is a Fulbright (Taiwan) alumnus, where he served as an educator, and a Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (Taiwan) recipient, where he furthered his fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
