Kelley Hollie earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work (BASW) with a concentration in Physical & Mental Health from Baylor University in 2004. She earned her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) in 2005 at Baylor before moving overseas to England to do Social Work. Kelley worked in child protection and as clinician for the next nearly 10 years. While in England, Kelley completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Child Welfare and Safeguarding (2012) from the University of Huddersfield. She has 18+ years of Social Work experience in child protection, clinical practice, international adoption, foster care, nonprofit management, and teaching in higher education. As a doctoral student at ASU, Kelley’s research interests focus on the Black family and autism with an emphasis on Black autistic encounters with law enforcement, Black fathers of autistic children, and caregiver mental health.
