Manit Mehta is a dedicated healthcare advocate committed to enhancing healthcare accessibility, advancing medical education, and prioritizing patient-centered care. His diverse experiences in clinical environments, research, and mentorship have shaped his comprehensive approach to healthcare.
At Apollo Hospital, Manit contributed to perioperative care, assisting surgeons in high-pressure surgical settings and collaborating with anesthesiologists to ensure effective communication with patients. His ability to perform under pressure and his commitment to patient care highlighted his clinical expertise.
In collaboration with the Army Medical Corps at Sea Bird Medicare, Manit played a pivotal role in diagnostic procedures and military-grade medical protocols. His adaptability and leadership were key in navigating complex healthcare settings, demonstrating his ability to thrive in diverse and demanding environments.
Manit’s research expertise is evident in his work at the Cooper Biology Education Research Lab, where he co-authored a study on digital single-session interventions (SSIs) to boost STEM confidence. His experience with data analysis, coding, and thematic structuring has impacted over 200 STEM students. Beyond research, Manit has mentored students in ASU’s BioEd CURE program and conducted think-aloud interviews to improve accessibility in science education.
In his work with the Principled Innovation Academy, Manit developed a prototype mobile healthcare van designed to expand medical outreach in underserved communities, further reflecting his dedication to improving healthcare access.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Manit is an international silver medalist in Shotokan Karate and the founder of his own dojo, where he empowers students in self-defense, agility, and mental focus. Fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Spanish, Manit connects with diverse communities, fostering understanding and collaboration across cultures. His passion for hiking underscores his drive to push physical and mental limits, instilling resilience and determination in both his personal and professional endeavors.
