Vera Bowlby joins SIRC as a Hepatitis C Project Coordinator. She is from Brazil and has resided in Arizona for 20 years. Vera graduated from Faculdade de Filosofia in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1982 with a Bachelor of Literature and Arts. She has worked for the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation and has worked with the HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C population for sixteen years. Eight of those years, she served as an Associate Director of Care and Support Services, managing a department of 25 staff. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren, Isabela, 16, and Frankie, 13. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and mining beautiful rocks in Arizona.
