Dana Peters is the Digital Content Manager for the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory at ASU. She oversees social media strategy; writes, edits, and manages website content for the 70+ entities housed within Global Futures; curates content for university students, staff, external partners, and other audiences; writes news articles, profiles, and other digital copy for ASU News outlets; develops newsletters; and advises on sustainable and ethical sourcing for merchandise and swag items for the department.
Prior to joining the ASU community, Dana served as the Communications Manager for Arizona Sustainability Alliance and worked for Fair Trade USA as a Regional Fellow.
She has a BS in Environmental Studies from Northern Arizona University, a certificate in Global Climate Change from the University of Exeter, and an MSSc from the University of Helsinki. Her master's thesis was about climate change anxiety and the validity of using humor as a coping mechanism. She is a passionate advocate for sustainable and ethical consumption and strongly believes in the power of individual action for a more sustainable future.
Outside of the office, Dana enjoys knitting, attending concerts, boxing, and playing with her kitten, Casper.
