Dhruv Thapar is a PhD student at ASU Center for Semiconductor Microelectronics (ACME), Arizona State, supervised by Prof. Krish Chakrabarty since 2023. He started his PhD in 2022 at Duke University where he spent a year before transferring to ASU. Prior to this, he completed a Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2020. During his senior years, he conducted his undergraduate and graduate research at the SEAL lab, IIT Kharagpur. During his PhD, he has done internships at Intel, Hillsboro, OR, TSMC, San Jose, CA, and Apple, Cupertino, CA. He is a recipient of Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship in 2025 (https://www.qualcomm.com/research/university-relations/innovation-fello…). His current research interests include design-for-testability, fault tolerance, and resilience of emerging technologies like ferroelectric-FETs, AI hardware, and 2.5D/3D systems based on advanced packaging.
