Gloria (SooYoung) Kang is a third year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Arizona State University. She earned her master’s in psychology and bachelor’s in psychology and education studies with a minor in East Asian studies. Her research interests include working with immigrants of mixed-status families, undocumented, and DACA recipients, exploring critical consciousness, sociopolitical development, ethnic-racial socialization, and liberation psychology. She further seeks opportunities to immerse herself in clinical work, social justice work, education, and policy advocacy with immigrant communities.
