Long Bio
Czar Suryawan Buenviaje (they/them) is a Master of Counseling Student. They received their B.S. in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines Diliman and their B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. They worked as an addiction counselor and case manager in a community mental health center in Colorado for about three and a half years. As such, they utilize motivational interviewing, solution-focused behavioral therapy, and a person-centered approach. They are working on getting their Master of Counseling degree to provide mental health services to the community; especially individuals who identify as queer or transgender and people of the global majority. Outside of work, they love to be in community, go bowling, and sing karaoke.
