Terence Cher joined ASU Brand Strategy and Management in December 2022 as Director of Brand, International. In this role, he collaborates closely with communicators and international partners to bring the ASU brand to life in compelling, relevant, and culturally contextualized ways. He works across units to address questions of brand positioning in global markets and to support the implementation of ASU’s Brand Portfolio Strategy.
Terence brings more than 30 years of branding and marketing experience spanning advertising agencies, media companies, and consumer packaged goods organizations. His background includes agency work serving global brands such as P&G and Coca-Cola, as well as senior marketing leadership roles within CPG companies.
An ASU alumnus, Terence recently completed a Master of Science in Psychology (Industrial–Organizational Psychology). He also holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, earned in Hong Kong. His academic interests intersect global branding, organizational behavior, and cross-cultural leadership. Outside of his professional work, he has been actively involved in extracurricular and creative pursuits, particularly stage performance and the performing arts.
