With over two decades in tech and business, I kicked off my career after graduating with a BA in Technical Writing from Oral Roberts University in 2003. My journey started at TV Guide Interactive, where I quickly moved up to Assistant Product Manager, playing a key role in managing changes to Comcast's digital cable guide. I earned a U.S. patent for an idea for a parental control feature meant to improve the user experience for children using digital cable.
I then shifted gears into a Business Analyst role at Overture Technologies, a fintech startup that developed automated underwriting software. I also freelanced as a consultant, helping small businesses with everything from digital marketing and content creation to SEO and web design/development.
My time at Intuit, Inc., and later Quicken, sharpened my skills in finance operations while also giving me a solid grounding in design thinking and lean experimentation. I’ve held Senior Business Analyst roles at the University of Arizona and W. P. Carey at Arizona State University, where I continued to hone skills in user experience research and design. Currently, I’m a UX Product Manager at EdPlus at ASU, where I’m all about digital product management and user experience.
Now based in Peoria, Arizona, where I live with my family, I also hold an MBA from the University of Phoenix. I continue to use my diverse background in product management and business analysis to enhance user experiences and drive innovation.
