Matt Oevermann is a Ph.D. student in Behavioral Neuroscience at Arizona State University. He recieved his B.S. in Psychology from Southwestern University (Georgetown, TX), where he studied the neurobiology of sexual behavior in the female rodent under the mentorship of Dr. Fay Guarraci. Post-bachelors, he worked as a laboratory technician at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the lab of Dr. Rick Bevins, assisting with projects investigating rodent nicotine self administration and reward-enhancement by contraceptive hormones. Currently, he is in the Behavioral Neuroscience of Menopause, Memory, and Aging Lab led by Dr. Heather Bimonte-Nelson. Matt's research interests broadly include the impacts of sex hormones, reproductive experiences, and aging on cognition.
