As the vice president for finance and deputy treasurer, Halabe leads a broad range of financial functions for the university, including the issuance of the audited financial report, maintenance of accounting records, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to mitigate risk, preserve university assets, and ensure compliance. Halabe is also responsible for treasury and investment management, debt and cash management, capital finance, plant funds, capital asset management, student business services, tax compliance, and additional operational areas, such as accounts payable, travel and payroll.
Halabe has more than two decades of higher education finance experience and extensive experience in the banking industry. Halabe received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Bombay, and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation.
