Ana is the executive director of strategic marketing and events at the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University. She leads an integrated team of professionals across marketing, communications, events and alumni engagement. Ana is a strategic and creative leader who collaborates with faculty, staff and university partners to enhance the college's interdisciplinary reputation and achieve measurable goals in enrollment, retention and engagement.
Ana oversees the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that position the College of Health Solutions as a leader in interdisciplinary health education and research. She drives initiatives to differentiate the college's mission and culture within ASU and beyond, aligning with university goals and fostering innovation in communications and events. Under her leadership, her team delivers impactful campaigns, alumni relations programs and events that advance the college's mission and brand visibility.
Prior to joining ASU, Ana served as executive director of marketing, communications and engagement at the University of Arizona's College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. There, she led efforts to elevate the college's visibility, strengthen stakeholder relationships and support its academic and community goals. Ana also held key roles at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona and the Tucson Conquistadores Foundation, where she managed marketing and communications for the PGA TOUR Champions event, Cologuard Classic, as well as community-focused initiatives such as The First Tee of Tucson.
During her time in Florida, Ana developed a strong and diverse professional background. At American International Group, Inc. (AIG), she held several high-impact leadership positions, including head of external communications, interim head of corporate communications for the Americas and global executive leadership communications officer. In these roles, she led corporate communications strategies across the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Bermuda. She was instrumental in advancing AIG's brand and reputation through consistent messaging, executive visibility, media relations and thought leadership. She managed key relationships with regional press, regulatory entities, industry organizations and corporate partners, and oversaw corporate social responsibility initiatives and external award strategies.
Ana also served as communications and marketing Director for MDC Live Arts at Miami Dade College, where she developed integrated campaigns to support public programs and institutional visibility. Earlier in her career, Ana held various leadership roles in Colombia, including general counsel for Termovalle and assistant director of international relations at Universidad del Valle.
Ana earned her Juris Doctor from Universidad de San Buenaventura in Cali, Colombia. She combines her legal expertise with a deep understanding of marketing, communications and strategic development to drive impactful initiatives. A results-driven professional with over 25 years of experience, Ana thrives in dynamic, complex environments and is passionate about advancing education and community engagement through innovative strategies.
