Colleen is an experienced education professional with over 20 years of teaching, coaching, administration, and learning design. She leads the development and design of professional learning experiences for educator teams and school and system leaders, including creating “train the trainer” resources for our national partners. Throughout her career, Colleen has worked across a range of educational settings, serving rural, indigenous, and urban communities in the U.S. and abroad in Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Brazil, and Switzerland. She has worked with public and private schools, non-profits, and B-corporations, demonstrating her versatility and ability to adapt to diverse contexts. Prior to her current role, Colleen served as vice president of pedagogy and research for AltSchool, where she focused on scaling personalized learning, and as a leader for EL Education, a national organization dedicated to character education, service, and project-based learning. Committed to dismantling systems of inequalities, she has equipped herself with the necessary expertise to create change as a certified master practitioner of the Compassionate Systems Framework with MIT's Center for System Awareness and a trained facilitator of the Immunity to Change process for individuals and teams.
