Latsko joined ASU from the University of Virginia (UVA), where he has spent a decade in various human resources leadership positions ranging from talent performance and engagement, learning and development, employee relations, recruiting, policy, risk management, compliance, technology, workforce planning and analytics, and HR business operations. At UVA, he served on a high-profile working group which made numerous recommendations to improve university-community relations, increase employment of socio-economically disadvantaged community members, and develop an infrastructure for more visible and robust career paths across the institution. Prior to joining UVA, Latsko held leadership roles at S&P Global Market Intelligence and ExploreLearning, a STEM education company.
An alumnus of UVA, Latsko earned both a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Russian Literatures. He is active in human resources professional development associations as is past president of HR Virginia, the state-wide affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a past officer of the Virginia chapter of the College and Professional Association for Human Resources. Latsko holds certifications from SHRM and the Human Resources Certification Institute and is a member of the bar in New York state and Washington, DC.
