Eeti Owusu

Eetisaamah Owusu is a first‑year Master of Science student in Biology at Arizona State University. Her academic interests include molecular and cellular biology, microbial systems, and the biological bases of behavior. She is currently building her graduate‑level research foundation through project‑based coursework, including hands‑on molecular biology modules and computational assignments that introduce core research workflows.

Eetisaamah has experience with PCR, DNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, bacterial transformation, mammalian cell transfection, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, and fluorescence microscopy through structured laboratory courses. She is also developing computational literacy through shell navigation, directory management, file handling, and basic command‑line operations used in ASU’s BIO598 microbial genomics modules. Her coursework emphasizes experimental design, data interpretation, and understanding how molecular systems evolve and function.

She completed her BS in Biological Sciences with a Data Science emphasis at ASU, where she explored genetics, cell biology, and quantitative approaches to biological questions. Her long‑term goals include strengthening her wet‑lab expertise and contributing to research in molecular genetics, neurobiology, or biomedical science.

Outside of academics, Eetisaamah enjoys reading manga, listening to music, dancing, and playing memory‑enhancing games. She also watches anime occasionally and appreciates quiet indoor time.
