Long Bio
I am an accredited veterinary assistant through the East Valley institute of technology. I am in my junior year at ASU, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in pre-veterinary medicine and a minor in women's studies, as well as a certificate in wildlife management. I have a year of experience in both general practice as well as emergency medicine experience. I recently finished 6 months with a zoo where I gained hands-on experience with the husbandry of multiple small mammals from marmosets to lemurs. I have over three years of experience in retail customer service in which I honed my interpersonal skills and faced difficult situations in which communication and compromise were the only solution. I currently volunteer at an animal rescue where I am an adoption counselor. I am mainly in charge of speaking with potential adopters and finding a well-fitting home for the cats in our care. I frequently discuss vaccine schedules, spay/neuter procedures, as well as overall husbandry of felines.
