Long Bio
Johannes Brust is an applied mathematician and an assistant professor in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. His research is broadly in numerical analysis — the development of algorithms and computational methods. Specifically, he designs algorithms for large-scale optimization, numerical linear algebra and data science. He implemented PP (Polynomial Pools), a software program for high-throughput COVID-19 testing.
