Jennifer Velez is the Director for Arizona First Year Recruitment and School Relations at Arizona State University. Since joining ASU in 2013, Jennifer has worked in a variety of K12 outreach-focused roles with the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, the Center for Gender Equity in Science and Technology, and Access ASU. In her current role with Admission Services, Jennifer works to increase college attainment among Arizona youth through collaborative efforts with ASU units, strong partnerships with school districts and community organizations, and informative and thoughtful conversations with students and their families. As a first-generation college graduate and former teacher, Jennifer is particularly passionate about expanding educational opportunities for under-represented populations.
