Bailey Jones is an Academic Researcher in the EdPlus Action Lab at Arizona State University. Bailey performs quantitative statistical analyses to inform educational stakeholders at ASU on student performance in ASU Online courses as well as their journey from initial enrollment to degree completion. Action Lab is a data-driven, research-focused service organization—an impact hub—that supports ASU and EdPlus initiatives by equipping leaders with the insights and analyses they need to make informed, evidence-based decisions. Action Lab drives transformational change in education through data and research, focusing on learner behaviors and the factors that drive success.
Prior to coming to EdPlus at ASU, Bailey earned her doctorate degree in Health Services Research at Old Dominion University. Her dissertation examined the use of immersive clinical experiences in athletic training education programs to achieve desired curricular outcomes, with an emphasis on students' understanding of the social determinants of health. Through her educational experiences and her current position at EdPlus, Bailey aims to help instructors and policymakers leverage data to enhance educational outcomes and ensure students receive the support they need to thrive.
