Originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, I’ve called Arizona home for the past 27 years. I’m happily married and a proud mom to two teenage boys and a spirited Schnauzer. With 25 years of experience in special education—19 of those also serving as Department Chair—I’ve developed a strong foundation in leadership, communication, and collaboration. These skills have shaped my professional journey and led me to where I am today. After earning my master’s degree from ASU, I’m proud to now serve as the Assistant Director of the Institute for Social Science Research. It’s a privilege to be part of the ASU community. Go Sun Devils!
