Evan joined ASU in 2023, both as an employee and student, and will be graduating with her Master’s degree in Sustainable Tourism May of 2026. Her Master's thesis focuses on shifting the tourism industry towards sustainable tourism within the Caribbean region. In January of 2026, Evan won third place in the ASU Three Minute Thesis Competition. Before ASU, she graduated from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a minor in Art History. Evan currently serves as Associate Operations Coordinator for the Piper Writers House. Through primary research and collaboration with ASU Library’s University Archives, she developed a tour of the historic house, which she now presents once a month when school is in session. She also serves on the Tempe Historic Preservation Commission and volunteers at the Tempe History Museum in her free time.
