Julie Lillie is a peace and justice-centered educational consultant, author and innovator with over 19 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, leadership, coaching, and strategic planning. Founder of The Peace Pad, LLC, Julie advances peace and justice education across all ages and aims to evolve PreK–12 educational systems, policies and practices. Co-author of Empowering Peace and Justice Education: An Actionable Framework for Elementary Educators and Learners, she emphasizes peace, justice, nonviolence, trauma informed care, culturally relevant pedagogy and literacy integration. She is grounded by ‘Five Peace Actions’: Seek Peace Within Yourself and Others, Respect Diversity, Protect Our Environment, Reach Out In Service, Be A Responsible Citizen Of The World. These ‘Five Peace Actions’ are core to the mission of the nonprofit, World Citizen Peace Ambassador Center, which Julie serves as Executive Director. Julie is a PhD student and Enrichment Fellow in Educational Policy and Evaluation at Arizona State University. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education (ASU) and a M.S. as a Reading Specialist (UWRF). Julie is committed to co-creating cultures of peace through leadership, strategic partnerships and collective action.
