With nearly 40 years of leadership, Michael Widell has served a combined 21 years at Oklahoma State University in executive roles of Vice President and President. In addition, he concurrently served four years as the Deputy Secretary of Workforce for the State of Oklahoma. Michael began his leadership career with the Wal-Mart Corporation General Office designing and integrating technology and policy that drove the corporation to the world’s largest retailer. In addition he served as an Area Manager for AT&T Voice Global Services, and for the State of Oklahoma’s’ lead economic and workforce development agency as Chief Administrative Officer and Deputy Director. Michael holds an MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma. He and his wife Tina reside in Edmond Oklahoma and their daughter recently graduated from ASU with her Master of Science in Psychology.
