Hector Estrada (“Estrada” He/His/Him) is a Senior Program Manager with the Next Education Workforce Initiative. Estrada supports and collaborates with K-12 partners across Arizona to provide all students with deeper and personalized learning by building and empowering educator teams.
Prior to joining ASU, Estrada served Arizona public schools for the past thirteen years. During this time, they served in the capacity of English teacher, athletic coach, peer mentor/coach, athletic director, high school assistant principal and high school Principal. From 2019-2023, Estrada served as the Principal of Rio Rico High School. There they established equity in grading, personalized learning practices and an inclusive culture and climate leading to the school earning the A+ School of Excellence award during the 2022-2023 school year presented by the Arizona Educational Foundation. During the 2022-2023 school year, Estrada also received the Arizona Administrator of the Year award presented by the Arizona Association of Student Councils. Estrada has their Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
