Long Bio
Chris Mayer has extensive experience in park and recreation management, environmental education, and community-based tourism. He has worked as a Program and Training Specialist with the U.S. Peace Corps in Mexico and Guatemala and as an Interpretive Specialist with the U.S. National Park Service. His expertise lies in environmental interpretation—the art and science of effective communication through guiding, signage, exhibits, and multimedia at protected areas and tourism destinations.
Chris is passionate about the role of recreation and tourism as noble professions that contribute to environmental protection, human health, and happiness.
