Mikah Dyer

Mikah Dyer is a passionate future educator and committed community leader dedicated to empowering young people and improving public education in Arizona. He is currently pursuing a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History and a minor in Political Science at Arizona State University.

With extensive experience in grassroots organizing, youth engagement, and education advocacy, Mikah has held leadership roles including Executive Vice President of the Young Democrats of Arizona, Lead Field Organizer for Reps. Judy Schwiebert and Stephanie Simacek, Chair of the Peoria Youth Advisory Board, and Peoria Council Liaison. His work focuses on fostering inclusive, equitable learning environments and strengthening ties between schools and communities.

As a candidate for the Peoria Unified School District Governing Board, Mikah centered his campaign on promoting nonpartisan, student-centered policies that enhance educator retention, support student empowerment, and bridge gaps within the district. He believes in the power of young leaders to drive meaningful change and remains dedicated to creating opportunities for all students to succeed.

Currently, Mikah serves as Vice President of Policy for the ASU West Valley Undergraduate Student Government, where he advocates for student needs and works to influence campus policies that support accessibility and affordability. He is also the Coalition Director for the Young Democrats of Arizona (YDAZ), mobilizing young people statewide to engage in progressive advocacy and electoral efforts. Additionally, he contributes as an education researcher, exploring innovative strategies to improve educational outcomes and equity.
