Omkar Shelar is a Software Engineering Intern at the Learning Engineering Institute. At ASU, he builds intelligent tutoring systems to support K–12 reading comprehension, develops tools to measure learning outcomes, and contributes to the design of scalable platforms used in classrooms. Beyond ASU, Omkar has several years of professional experience in the software industry, where he worked on large-scale web applications, digital advertising platforms, and data-driven marketing solutions. He has also tutored and mentored undergraduate students at ASU’s Fulton Schools of Engineering. Omkar’s work reflects his commitment to applying technology and data-driven insights to improve education and create meaningful impact for both students and educators.
