Myrna Hanaoka retired as the Director of Fiscal and Business Operations for the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA) and also previously for University College (UC). She managed and directed the budgeting, accounting and auditing of financially related functions ensuring the financial integrity of fiscal and business operations for all academic and administrative program units in CISA. Myrna also had oversight of sponsored and foundationally funded resources, the administration of scholarships and financial aid, and assisted in overseeing the execution of space planning and the management of asset inventory for CISA. Myrna's business and financial experience was the culmination of several years in the private sector supporting organizations such as Hughes Aircraft Company, Contel Business Systems, Pioneer Electronics (USA) and Best Western International, in corporate budget development and business modeling, financial analysis and statistical reporting, and financial accounting. She started her career with ASU as a Business Manager for the former College of Extended Education.
Myrna earned a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics and Psychology from Pacific University in Oregon.
Myrna is originally from Kauai and enjoys traveling back home to visit family and friends and is always excited to connect with other Hawaii transplants in Arizona. In her spare time she loves watching old westerns and other retro shows from the seventies, eighties and nineties.
