Alexis McCann serves as Program Manager, Compliance and Assessment, in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts at Arizona State University. In this role, she oversees college-wide compliance and assessment functions, supporting state authorization, professional licensure documentation, and Academic Program Review processes. She partners with school directors, faculty, and central university offices to interpret regulatory requirements, strengthen documentation systems, and ensure alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.
Alexis brings experience across higher education, public administration, and journalism, which informs her strengths in policy analysis, process development, and cross-unit collaboration. She is committed to building sustainable systems that protect students, support faculty, and advance ASU’s mission.
She previously served as Program Coordinator, Senior within CISA and is the recipient of the 2025 Dr. Christine Marin Staff Award for excellence in service and institutional impact.
Alexis earned her Master of Arts in Teaching, summa cum laude, from the University of Southern California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. During her undergraduate studies, she was the news editor of the Red & Black newspaper and began her professional career as a local government newspaper reporter for the Beaufort Gazette in the Lowcountry.
