Katie holds a BS in Psychology from Northeastern University and an MPH from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Since 2011, she has been engaged in Hawaiʻi food systems through health behavior change research, work in the restaurant and grocery industry, and as a small-business fruit farmer. Committed to food security and sustainability, her passion lies in growing, sharing, and trading fresh foods from her farm and garden with her community. As a Research Assistant with the Swette Center, she supports the Center’s work through data collection, analysis, and technical research support.
