Carolyn Trager Kliman is an AmeriCorps alum and military spouse with a deep commitment to elevating the role of the youth-serving workforce in driving economic, civic, and educational vitality in communities across the United States. For more than 20 years, she has worked across education and workforce practice, policy, research, and strategy to identify and scale community-driven solutions to pressing challenges.
Carolyn began her career as a service-learning educator working with hundreds of New York City public schools. She leveraged that practitioner experience to shape education and national service policy as a fellow with the U.S. Senate HELP Committee. Then, she held leadership roles at national nonprofit organizations, including America Achieves and City Year, Inc., where she built new capabilities, led and grew teams, and collaborated with team members to develop innovative solutions to enhance organizational impact in the United States and abroad.
