Sherril is an Assistant Director with Student &
Cultural Engagement within Educational Outreach and Student Services.
Since coming to ASU in 2002, she has worked primarily with its
multi-cultural students in the Asian American, Pacific Black &
African, International Student, Hispanic & Latino/a,
LBGTQA and Women's campus communities. She has had oversight for
the Obama Scholars Program, SafeZONE, Culture@ASU Festival, Canon
Leadership Program, ASU's World Festival, Asian Pacific American
Convocation and Lavender Convocation, and Asian Pacific LEAD Academy.
Sherril continues to serve on ASU's Martin Luther King Jr. Planning
Committee, Committee for Campus Inclusion and Memorial Union Advisory Board.
Educational access and equity and contributing to
the empowerment of college students especially those
from marginalized, first generation and underserved populations
are her passion. She has been very fortunate to have had the
opportunity to work in this capacity for over thirty years in higher education.
Before arriving at ASU, Sherril worked at the
University of Hawaii, Manoa Campus. She holds a Bachelor of Science in
Human Development and a Master's in Public Health in Health Education.
