Long Bio
Anthony Waas joins ASU as the director of the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy. With expertise in mechanical and aerospace engineering, specifically lightweight material composites and advanced manufacturing, he has served as a professor and chair of aerospace engineering at the University of Michigan and the University of Washington. Waas brings a strong record of leadership in engineering education and aims to inspire his faculty and staff to perform their best.
