Long Bio
Heather Horne is an Implementation Coach with the ASU Next Education Workforce initiative, supporting Arizona schools. She brings K-12 teaming experience through the lens of instructional coach, elementary school principal, and high school assistant principal. Heather’s experience spans two Next Education Workforce Spotlight Schools: leading a school-wide team-based staffing implementation at Hermosa Vista Elementary, a Dual Language Immersion school, and supporting teams as an assistant principal at Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona. She has experienced firsthand the magic that exists when multiple adults, using their strengths, wrap around a shared roster of students. Her coaching work helps school leaders move beyond team structure toward recognizing, supporting, and utilizing teacher expertise and instructional practice to help teams thrive.
Education
Heather holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University, a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University, and is currently completing her EdD in Leadership and Innovation at ASU.
