Long Bio
T.J. Elkinton is a graduate teaching assistant and current doctoral student in Arizona State's counseling psychology program. He graduated from the University of San Diego with a bachelor's in psychology before completing his master's in sport psychology at Florida State University. His research interests largely focus on gender norms, identity, and inclusivity in sports contexts.
T.J. Elkinton is a member of the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and has consulted with over 100 high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. His theoretical orientation utilizes a mix of person-centered, gestalt, and CBT approaches.

- Exploring LGBTQIA+ experiences in heteronormative sports to provide intervention strategies for fostering more inclusive environments.
- Developing multicultural competence within university athletic programs and management.
