Cayla Grace Sullivan, MPH, has been an Emergency Management Coordinator at Arizona State University since January 2024. She is responsible for the Continuity of Operations Plan for the entire ASU Enterprise, planning, exercise development, and responding to various emergencies across ASU with Emergency Management.
Prior to her current role, she has experience as an Emergency Preparedness Planner, focusing on continuity of operations, non-pharmaceutical interventions, public health emergency preparedness and response, and medical countermeasures. During her graduate and undergraduate studies, she engaged in emergency public health and emergency planning through her internships at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
Additionally, during her graduate studies, she investigated the impact of military subculture and sexually transmitted infections on the health and readiness of active-duty personnel. This research on STI acquisition among this group was presented at the Nova South Eastern University 2024 InterLACE Research Showcase. She recently published From Army Strong to Oorah: A Review of Existing Literature Characterizing General Military Culture and Subculture. Two other publications are pending, including Climate Change Impact on Health Outcomes and its Burden on the Emergency Department and STI Acquisition in Active-Duty Personnel.
