Ahreum Lim, Ph.D., works as a postdoctoral research scholar at the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and the School of Biological and Health System Engineering at Arizona State University. She is working with Dr. Emma Frow in the interventionist project that cultivates care within the bioengineering community.
She is also a research fellow at the Generative Learning and Complexity Laboratory (GLCL) at University of Georgia. As a part of GLCL lab, she led a pedagogical experiment delving into how the incorporation of science fiction movies as a source for inquiry works in facilitating engineering students' reflection on their experiential encounter with AI-driven nudges. For this project, she collaborated with MODE2L (Manufacturing Optimization, Design, and Engineering Education Lab) Group in the School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural, and Mechanical Engineering at UGA, later serving as a community engagement specialist there.
Her research interest spans engineering ethics education, engineering identity, professional knowledge development, transdisciplinary research, and inquiry-based intervention.
