Kim Buchheit is Senior Research Development Manager at ASU's Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation (MLFC). She leads a team that supports faculty in several aspects of pre-award grant development and provides assistance with resubmissions of previously declined applications. The Research Development team also provides editorial services, identifies funding opportunities, researches potential project collaborators, maintains an extensive sponsor database, offers training and promotes best practices in proposal preparation, and stays current with trends in the funding landscape.
Prior to joining ASU, Kim was the art director serving the Grand Canyon National Park through an associated nonprofit. In that position, she provided publishing, interpretive design, graphics communication, project development, and management services for the park and associated partners. Kim also has entrepreneurial experience in leading a creative services business where she offered writing and editing, website design, marketing and advertising, and grant proposal development services nationwide. Kim holds a BA in Art and received grant development certificates for state, foundation, and federal proposals from ASU. She is also a working studio artist and art educator who has taught art and design in K-14 settings.
