Ira A Fulton Engineering
Long Bio
Passionate about leveraging data to solve real-world problems, I focus on building practical, human-centered solutions at the intersection of data science, technology, and impact. My work emphasizes uncovering insights from complex datasets, applying advanced analytical techniques, and communicating results in ways that inform decision-making and drive value.
Recent projects have included the analysis and detection of various types of cancers across different body regions using machine learning and deep learning models such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs). These experiences have strengthened my expertise in medical imaging and reinforced the importance of accuracy and interpretability in healthcare applications.
In another initiative, I contributed to the Horizon ship detection project, applying computer vision and object detection methods to enhance maritime surveillance. This work supports broader goals in security, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
Additional projects have explored data visualization and geospatial analysis, including the creation of an interactive scrolly telling platform for visualizing decades of space mission data, and the clustering of urban crime data to identify safer travel routes.
Curiosity and continuous learning drive my approach. Each project offers an opportunity to refine technical skills, evaluate new tools and methodologies, and approach problems from fresh perspectives all with the goal of translating data into actionable knowledge.
