Shah Noor Shafqat is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Industrial design at Arizona State University.
Shafqat has an MFA(Studio Art) from the School of Art at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, and a BFA (Textile Design)from the National College of Arts, Lahore, Pakistan.
Shafqat has been a member of Harvard Innovation Labs. She is an interdisciplinary artist, biodesigner, and educator whose work explores an intersection between art, nature & science and is motivated by material innovation and sustainable methods through science, design, and technology, with an emphasis on healthcare applications. She is winner of Biodesign Sprint ( Biodesign Challenge x Mars Wrigley 2022). Her digital artwork for Android and iOs is available online on the App Store and Google Play. Her textile paintings have been displayed in conjunction with “Genome: Unlocking Life’s Code” developed by the Smithsonian Museum and presented and sponsored by the Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine, which received media attention interviews with ABC News, Kaal-Tv, KSMQ, and The Rochester Women Magazine.
