Long Bio
Daniel Tolosa works in algebraic topology and in topological methods motivated by applications in biology. His research focuses on describing self-organization and pattern formation in biological systems using topological data analysis (TDA), as well as developing new theoretical foundations and methods in TDA. On the more theoretical side, he studies loop spaces, the algebraic operations that arise naturally in these spaces, and their equivariant counterparts through algebraic models.
