Mostafa Yourdkhani is an Associate Professor in the School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks (MSN) at Arizona State University, where he leads the Yourdkhani Research Group. His research focuses on developing next-generation manufacturing technologies that integrate advanced materials, robotics, computational engineering, and smart manufacturing systems to redefine how high-performance, multifunctional materials and structures are designed, fabricated, and deployed. His work spans advanced polymeric materials, fiber-reinforced composites, frontal polymerization, additive manufacturing, multifunctional materials, autonomous manufacturing, digital engineering, and bio-inspired material design, with applications in aerospace, space, energy, transportation, and advanced infrastructure.
His research has been recognized through numerous national and international honors, including the NSF CAREER Award, the ASME Rising Star of Mechanical Engineering Award, the ACS PMSE Early Investigator Award, and the Young Scientist Award from the International Contest for Innovation (iCANX).
