Long Bio
Matthew Weaver is an assistant teaching professor in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. His research interests lie in commutative algebra and its interactions with and applications to algebraic geometry. He is particularly interested in the study of Rees algebras of ideals and modules, and the applications of Rees algebra and syzygy techniques to implicitization problems arising in the applied sciences.
