Angeli Jayme's research interests include tire-pavement interaction, asphalt materials, pavement structural mechanics, damage quantification, pavement rehabilitation and preservation, energy harvesting, and advanced mobility. A common thread in her research is understanding pavement behavior and its inherent role to balance user and environmental demands, address the emergence of new technologies, and uphold high levels of safety and reliability. Prior to joining ASU, she held post-doctoral research associate and research scientist positions at the Illinois Center for Transportation at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Also, she serves as vice-chair of the Highway Pavement Committee in the ASCE Transportation and Development Institute and as communications coordinator of the Transportation Research Board Committee on Pavement Structural Modeling and Evaluation.
