Working directly with the Dean and collaboratively with the leadership team, this position manages the daily operational direction of CHS, and oversees all operations of the College, including finance, budget, human resources, employee engagement, compliance, IT, analytics, strategic partnerships, and facilities and space management. The Chief Operating Officer provides leadership and strategic vision consistent with the mission of the College to achieve strategic and operational objectives, effectiveness and efficiency through consistent application of necessary operational controls, procedures, and personnel. The person in this position participates in a variety of strategic planning and special projects and plays a key role in building and monitoring the financial and administrative infrastructure. This role has a high level of complexity due to the need to balance the budget/finance needs of three separate missions of the college (research, academic, and service) with growth goals. This position is a part of the college’s executive leadership team, and, in practice, functions as the Chief of Staff of the College. Reports to the Dean of the College of Health Solutions.
