Prior to joining the faculty at Arizona State University, Dr. Christine Sanchez served as an Assistant Professor of Elementary Education at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. Dr. Sanchez taught a variety of courses within the Division of Education related to classroom management, early language and literacy acquisition, multicultural education, reading and language arts methods, content area methods, and edTPA portfolio development. In addition, Dr. Sanchez served as an academic advisor, the division certification officer, and a member of the CAEP accreditation team.
Dr. Sanchez holds an EdD in School Improvement with a concentration in literacy from the University of West Georgia as well as a Master of Science in Reading from the University of Nebraska. In addition to her work in higher education, she has decades of experience as an instructional coach, literacy facilitator, reading specialist, and classroom teacher in a culturally and socioeconomically diverse school system in Omaha, Nebraska.
